Easy and Beautiful Mehandi Designs for Front and Back Hand
Remember how we used to spend hours giggling and getting mehendi done during Raksha Bandhan and Karwa Chauth? Those intricate designs were always so beautiful, but sometimes a little intimidating to try ourselves! Well, fret no more! Today I’m sharing some super easy and gorgeous mehendi designs that you can create on your own hands, for any occasion. Get a full Mehndi Designs for Girls guide here.
Front Hand Flair:
-
The Delicate Daisy: Start with a small flower bud in the center of your palm. Use gentle dots and curvy lines to create delicate petals around it. Add a few curved lines extending outwards from the flower for a vine-like effect. Simple yet elegant!
-
The Bindi Bliss: We all love a beautiful bindi, so why not extend it into a design? Create a simple bindi dot in the center of your forehead, and then use the cone to draw a curved line from the bindi down the bridge of your nose and onto the center of your palm. You can then add small paisleys or dots on either side of the line for extra oomph.
Back Hand Beauty:
-
The Blooming Branch: This design is perfect for beginners! Draw a straight line down the center of your back hand, starting from your wrist and ending just below your fingers. Then, on either side of the line, create small flower buds with simple dots and petals. You can use your creativity to make different sized blooms for a more natural look.
-
The Paisley Power: Paisleys are a classic mehendi motif, and for good reason! They’re easy to create and look beautiful. Start with a teardrop shape as the base of your paisley, then add curved lines inside to create the intricate details. You can create a single large paisley on the back of your hand, or a cluster of smaller ones for a more scattered effect.
Pro-Tips for Perfect Mehendi:
- Practice makes perfect! Before you attempt a design on your actual hand, try it out on a piece of paper first.
- Let it flow! Don’t worry about making every line perfectly symmetrical. A little imperfection adds to the charm.
- Less is more! Start with a simple design and gradually add more details as you get comfortable.
- Keep it cool! The cooler the mehndi paste stays, the darker the stain will be. Apply it in an air-conditioned room or keep a fan blowing gently on your hands.
- Patience is key! Let the mehndi dry completely for at least 6-8 hours before scraping off the flakes.
