Day 2 returns with EA reaching 110 points…Genji remains in 4th place
Day one leader eArena continued its dominance on Day 2 with another chicken, while Genji remains in fourth place with no chicken news yet.
Day 2 of the PUBG Global Series (PGS) 4 Grand Finals, an international Battle Royale esports competition, is underway at the Shanghai Global Content Export Center in Shanghai, China, on Monday.
PGS is an international competition that features 24 top professional teams from around the world competing for the honor of being the strongest team, with PGS 3 featuring 14 teams that performed well in regional competitions and 10 ‘Global Partner Teams’. South Korea will be represented by Guangdong Freaks, DK, and GNL Esports, who finished first through third in the 2024 PUBG WEEKLY SERIES (PWS) Phase 1, and Genji as a Global Partner Team, of which Genji is the only team to join the Grand Finals.
Game seven on the Erangel map saw the first elimination after the first magnetic field headed northwest, with PeRo sweeping Legacy, while TWIS and Virtus took out Team Falcons in a close encounter. Genji added two more kills in an engagement with PeRo and Cerberus, but failed to add any more points. After NAVI and Bleed were eliminated, NewHappy drove in, but Phase blocked it, EA pounced on NewHappy’s troops and eliminated them, and with Phase down to its last troop, Virtus-EA-TWIS-HOWL made up the top four. After TWIS was the first to fall, the three teams looked to capitalize on each other’s opportunities, and when EA picked up HOWL, Virtus made a move to put the game 먹튀검증 away, scoring 21 points with an 11-kill chicken.
The next eight games saw a magnetic field placed in the center of Erangel Island, with Genji, Team Falcons and HOWL tangling in a battle that saw HOWL become the first team eliminated. Phase, Virtus and Team Falcons were caught early on as the magnetic field shrank toward the Roh, and Genji added kills against 4AM and Bleed before eliminating Legacy to push the lead over 10 kills. EA rushed toward New Happy and picked up another kill before NAVI and PeRo were eliminated, leaving EA, TWIS, Balitai and Genji as the top four, and with only one player remaining, Genji was the first to go and EA took out both remaining teams to claim the third chicken of the Grand Finals and 19 points.
In game nine, which moved to the Bikendi map, the first magnetic field dropped to the east and Bleed lobbed a grenade at Team Falcons, who were hiding under a tree, before concentrating their firepower and scoring a kill. The magnetic field continued to move with the teams, forcing HOWL, Genji, NAVI and Legacy to retire early. With the elimination of Virtus and Bleed, the push for teams to move into the mountains began again, with EA adding three kills before falling apart. In the top-four battle between FaZe, TSM, TWIS and Cerberus, Cerberus was the first to be eliminated, with FaZe picking up TSM while TWIS was in trouble and then taking down TWIS to become the owner of a 16-kill chicken, adding 26 points to the scoreboard.
