Davidson is the World Rugby captain for England vs Wales. The Scottish official said, “It is a huge honour.” The very first female official to assist the referee in a men’s Six Nations 2024 contest will be Scotland’s Hollie Davidson. She will create history this season.

Davidson is on the way to success

Referee career
The Scottish Rugby Union is the contracting organization of expert rugby union referee Hollie Davidson. When the SRU began offering Saturday refereeing instruction in 2015. Davidson enrolled in it. On March 18, 2022, Davidson officiated the United Rugby Championship game between Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby for the 1872 Cup.
International career
World Rugby Women’s Sevens referee Davidson began in 2017. She served as a referee for the Rugby World Cup Sevens, Rugby Europe, and Commonwealth Games in 2018. On March 17, 2019, Davidson officiated a match between Wales and Ireland in the Women’s Six Nations Championship.
Davidson also umpired in 2021 to officiate the rugby 7’s competition during the postponed 2020 Summer Olympics. Her appointment to an all-female match officials crew for a men’s test match between Tier 1 team Italy and the host Portugal took place in Lisbon in 2022.
It was Italy who won 38–31, with Davidson issuing three yellow cards two to Italy and one to Portugal. The Rugby World Cup 2021 final between New Zealand and England. Davidson was the lone female official on the World Rugby U20 Tournament referee panel.
She was also given the responsibility of helping the referee in three full international practice matches leading up to the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
