Chetan Rana – The Education, Background, Charity Work
Chetan Rana is one of the most well-known social workers in Delhi. He is a prominent name in the charity for poor people and women empowerment. There are so many things that need to be done and Chetan Rana works continuously for the upliftment of the life of the lower strata of society.
Background: Chetan Rana was born in Bulandshahr, a small town in Uttar Pradesh, India. He came from a middle-class family where his father was a farmer and his mother was a social worker. Though they were not much solvent at that time, his mother still managed to help others and do charitable works in the locality.
Education: Chetan Rana did his graduation in Social Science. Then he did Network Engineering from DN College, Meerut, 2009.
Professional Life: Chetan Rana had some plans to start something on his own but there were some obstacles at that time. He lost his father and he had to support his family and brother with his study. He came to Delhi and joined a reputed IT company. Within a few days, he got promoted due to his capabilities and skill.
When his family was settled and his brother got a job, he thought to pursue his dream of doing something of his own. Then he left the job and started his own company. Initially, the company was small but with time, it becomes successful and now almost 100 employees work in this company. In this way, Chetan Rana helps many people to earn their living by providing them employment.
Social Work: Chetan Rana has the dream of starting his own charity work. Though he kept doing small-scale charity works all through his life; after establishing his business he started to do social work on a large scale. While starting full-fledged social works; he planned the whole concept.
Work for Poor People: Chetan Rana dedicatedly works for poor people. He visits the local slums and villages in his locality. There are different segments of his work. For example, he divided his work into different categories like health, education, food, sanitization and clothes. For that, he organizes different camps in his locality. Before that, he has to identify the needs and then only he executes the functions to meet them.
He organizes a health check-up camp where doctors of different specializations come and check the local people for free. He also helps them to get medicines and food supplements. Chetan Rana also sponsors bright students so that they can carry forward their studies in their respective fields. He has trained and created a team of young people who work for the improvement of the locality. From sanitization to meeting some emergencies; they work under Chetan Rana to bring changes in life.
Woman Empowerment: Chetan Rana works continuously on different projects of women empowerment. He organizes workshops and training sessions so that the local women can start to earn. He helps them by introducing new platforms, registering the trade fairs so that they can sell their products.
