CLAT GK Preparation Methods
CLAT exam consists of 150 questions. The General Knowledge section in the CLAT exam consists of 35-39 questions including Static GK and Current Affairs. This is an important section as it helps in saving time during the exam. You can use it and allocate time to other sections during the exam. Current Affairs essentially include the major events happening in the mainstream media in a year. In the case of Static GK, it can come from any walk of life. The target should be at least 30 questions out of 39.
Looking at the last 5 years, the coverage of current affairs in the GK section is increasing every year. Devote at least 1 hour of your day to GK. At first, you may take more time to read but gradually it will not require more than an hour. Most of the students think they are familiar with the topic but do not remember the answer. For this, they need to regularly spend at least 20 to 30 minutes reading the previous notes.

Reading GK randomly is not a solution, one needs regular notes which will help him/her to read and revise GK well. More importantly, don’t try to read GK before sleeping or going to class. The best time to study is when you wake up in the morning or after a break from studies because you are fresh and this will help you to understand and remember it better.

Just randomly reading the newspaper is not the solution for your CLAT GK preparation, it needs to be structured like any other subject. It can be boring and tedious at times but in the serious mode, it will be helpful during your exam. Try to note down the major events from the newspaper in a book, so that you can revise two to three days before your CLAT exam.
Prepare online and register for the quiz:
The great way to prepare for GK in a limited time is to make use of structured notes and attempt regular quizzes, especially for CLAT. Even if you don’t know the answer, you will learn something. Through participation, you can self-evaluate and later revise your study plan accordingly.
