Offerings to the Sun God
Wake up before dawn, take a bath, and offer water to Sun regularly. Chant Sun Mantra or perform Yajna for Sun’s blessings. These remedies can bring peace and remove the malefic influence of the Sun during its transit. Also, donate products related to the Sun or wash them with water.
Bathe Using Products Related to Mars
If the Sun is not auspicious during its transit, mix poppy, saffron, or red flowers in the water for bathing as they are the products associated with the Sun. This can shield you from its malefic influence and helps develop strength in the body, enhancing your immunity. These remedies are also good for your father’s health.
Donate Sun-related Products
Products like jaggery, copper, wheat, and lentils are associated with the Sun. Donate these products on Sundays, on the day of the Sun’s Sankranti, and solar eclipse days for beneficial results.
All these products can be donated at the same time. The donation can be as per your capability. Use your own money to buy them. If you can’t afford them, get the help of other family members for donations.
Mantra Chanting
Chanting Sun Mantras brings peace. Chant the Mantra, “Om Ghrani: Surya Aditya:”, regularly. Chanting it on Sunday brings good results. It should be chanted 10, 20, 108, or more than 108 times. Reciting this Mantra during Yajna also is good.
Maintain hygiene while chanting. Do not leave the chanting incomplete.
How to Make the Sun Yantra?
Take a papyrus and draw a box. Divide it into nine parts and write numbers in the partitions as given below.:
In the first 3 partitions, write 6, 1, and 8. In the next 3 partitions, 7, 5, and 3. In the last 3 partitions, write 2, 9, and 4. When we add all the numbers in each of the three partitions, we get 15.
Have these boxes inscribed on a copper sheet. You can also make it yourself by using red sandalwood, musk, and saffron on the paper. Using a pomegranate quill to make the boxes will be good. These materials can be used to make Yantras of all the planets.
Yajna for the Sun God
The Mantra given above can be used for the Sun Yajna. Get the help of a priest to perform the Yajna.
The Sun is the Karaka of the native’s health and his/her father. When the Sun is afflicted by Rahu and Ketu, we should perform remedies to avoid the malefic effects they cause. Also, when the Sun aspects the sixth lord or seventh lord and afflicts it during its transit, these remedies can reduce any problems caused by it.
