Jo Min-ho has received great expectations from the domestic ice hockey world as a top prospect since his days at Gyeonggi High School.

After attending Korea University, he joined the HL in 2009 and played in a total of 393 games over 12 seasons in the Asian League, scoring 124 goals and 324 assists. He played as a leading striker in the HL, winning six league championships, Rookie of the Year (2010), and Best Forward (2016) awards.

The total of 324 assists in the regular league is the most by a Korean player as of June 2022, when Min-ho Cho passed away.
