Air Canada Cancellation Policy

• Refundable vs. Non-Refundable Tickets: 
  • Refundable Tickets: If you purchased a refundable ticket, you can cancel it at any time before your scheduled departure and receive a full refund to your original form of payment.

  • Non-Refundable Tickets: If you purchased a non-refundable ticket, cancellation may result in a fee, and the remaining value of your ticket will typically be provided as a travel credit (e.g., an Air Canada voucher) that you can use toward a future flight with Air Canada.

 

• Cancellation Fees: The cancellation fee for non-refundable tickets can vary based on factors such as your fare class, the route, and the time of cancellation. These fees are typically deducted from the remaining value of your ticket when you cancel.

 

• Basic Economy Fares: If you’ve purchased a Basic Economy fare, these tickets are often non-refundable and may have limited flexibility. Cancellation and changes may not be permitted or may come with substantial fees.

 

• Cancellation Process: To cancel your Air Canada flight, you can typically do so online through the Air Canada website or mobile app. Log in to your booking, find the cancellation option, and follow the instructions.
