It is designed to bring consistency in your experience of happiness and peace by teaching you to heal relationships by undoing guilt through forgiveness. It is also a system of self-healing that can clear your mind of illusions, or false beliefs. Its principles can seem radical and not of this world, but they lead inevitably to an experience beyond words.
These recordings reflect the Daily Reading Schedule devised by the Circle of Atonement to accompany the “A Course in Miracles – Complete and Annotated Edition” (CE). They contain a wealth of new material restored from the original notes and thirty three Cameo essays by Robert Perry and Greg Mackie, and are designed to be used along with the Workbook for Students.

A Course in Miracles is a modern spiritual thought system that teaches forgiveness as the way to universal love and peace. The course uses Christian terms, but it is non-sectarian and can be applied to any religious tradition. Its philosophy is Platonic, and it often refers to Plato’s Allegory of the Cave from his Republic. It also features iambic pentameter, which is a poetic form used by Shakespeare. It is possible to read the Course online, but it is recommended that you buy a copy of it so that you can use it as a study guide.
The author of A Course in Miracles, Helen Schucman, began to have visionary experiences and hear an inner voice. She was told to take notes of what she heard. She complied, and over the next seven years she received material for a textbook, workbook, and manual for teachers. She had no idea that the material would eventually be published as A Course in Miracles.
In the beginning, the material that was given to Helen was very personal and oriented toward her troubled relationship with Bill. It addressed many of the specific issues that she and Bill were facing at the time, and it deviated from the psychology that was then known, which was primarily Freudian. This meant that there was some material in the Course on Freud, but it did not follow his ideas completely.
When the Course was finally published, it was by an organization that had been set up to publish and disseminate the materials. This foundation was the Foundation for Inner Peace, and since its inception it has been the publisher, disseminator, and copyright/trademark holder of A Course in Miracles.
In 2000, however, the Foundation for Inner Peace transferred the copyright and trademark to the Miracle Worker’s Trust, an independent organization. The trust has been a major player in the distribution of the Course, and it maintains the official website for the work. It also sponsors conferences, workshops, and other events. It is now responsible for the publication of most translations of the Course into other languages. In addition, it has established several subsidiary organizations to perform a variety of functions.
