Kadaknath chicken
Kadaknath or Kali Maasi is a delicious black chicken breed in Jhabua town of Madhya Pradesh. A healthy Kadaknath chicken contain more protein (25% approximately), rich in vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E, niacin, calcium, phosphorus, and iron. This breed has a lower fat content of only 0.73 – 1.03%. Kadaknath meat contains 18 amino acids of which eight are essential for the human body. The cholesterol content in Kadaknath is less measuring only 184.75 mg/100 gms as opposed to the 218.12 mg/100 gms level present on other chicken varieties.
