WHY WOULD A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR CLEANING BUSINESS THREATEN A LESS THAN ONE MILLION DOLLAR MINORITY BUSINESS?
IS THIS A RACIAL ISSUE OR A CONFLICT OF ENTITLEMENT?
Harvey, IL (Nov 3, 2022) — S.C. Johnson & Sons, Inc. (SCJ) is a family owned cleaning company, recognized as one of the world’s leading manufacturing household cleaning products. It has been in business for over 130 years, with over 13,000 employees and an annual revenue reported to be $11.88 billion dollars.
Advanage Diversified Products, Inc., a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), is also a cleaning product company with about 10 employees and annual revenues of nearly $1 million dollars. Advanage has been in business for over 42 years, has superb products, with over 40 million satisfied customers.
On April 5, 2021, SCJ sent a memo to Advanage threatening and warning Advanage about their advertising and marketing claims. SCJ is over 10,000 times the size of Advanage. Why would they stoop so low to bully a company the size of Advanage Diversified? Could it be a concern that Advanage may take customers Advanage Diversified Products, Inc., from them or is this more of an approach to scare or damage a black-owned company. The question is why? Is it the product quality that is not being recognized as exceptional or is it the color of the skin of its creator?
It’s certainly not a question of Advanage product quality. According to an Independent Lab Testing Company, Advanage cleaner outperforms SCJ’s own Fantastic cleaner. Therefore, there is no reasonable support why SCJ singled out Advanage Diversified for intimidation.
With no valid reason to threaten Advanage Diversified. The question remains, was it just a racial smear such as to say, “Get back Blacks” or was it an act of “White Supremacy Entitlement?”
