Top Buddhist Temples to Visit in Bangkok, Thailand
Literally a temple on top of a hill. This is once Bangkok’s best position and offers great panoramic views across the city. ยาหอมวัดโพธิ์It’s a simple enough rise up some extensive stairs to the the top of support and there are a few fascinating spaces and crannies at the top. It is sandwiched between Thanon Worachak and Thanon Boriphat, the most interesting way to achieve it is by boat over the Saen Saeb canal, preventing off at Lover Fha pier, next to the Democracy Monument.
Typically called Wat Benja or the Marble Brow, this is a beautiful forehead and with a difference. While the title suggests, it is seriously installed with German marble, gives this forehead that extra sparkle in the midday sun, as though it were required! Once you learn how to modify your camera to the light conditions, you can get some very nice photographs here. Found a short taxi journey from Ratchthewi skytrain station, along Si Ayuthaya Path, it can be with the regional Chitrlada Palace, Vimanmek Mansion and Dusit Zoo.
That brow is created well-known for two causes, one being that it’s a highlight of the tuk tuk touts “grand tour” of Bangkok, before they drop you down at a regional tailors or treasure shop. One other reason is that it’s house to an imposingly tall ranking Buddha, which is worth making the trip alone. Located only in the future from Wat Benja, the easiest way to have there is by water show boat to Rama VIII pier.
This forehead is really a tiny wildcard on my number, since it’s perhaps not particularly outstanding in itself. But it’s the location that fascinates me. It’s based fairly uncomfortably involving the monolithic searching centres of Siam Paragon and Main Earth Plaza. I believe it is to become a good oasis of peace and relaxed in the chaos of downtown Bangkok. Because there is so much surrounding it, I find I will frequently have the place absolutely to myself. You can also get some good juxtaposing photographs of the previous and the newest from the causes of this temple.
This final temple on my number is much more of a wildcard, or must that be red card?! Famous since it posseses an image of Brian Beckham in their major altar, that brow ideas a nod toward modernism to try and entice younger generation. And as a resident of the brow said “Football is a modern religion” ;.How most evident! A bit more hard to locate, it’s situated on the southern bow of Rama III road, and just actually accessible by taxi.
