Sandeep Marwah Visited The National Museum of Indian Cinema
Mumbai: “We are the largest film industry in the World. The country of India has given some of the finest films to the World of entertainment. Indian films are largely accepted all over the World. A museum to showcase the achievements of Indian Cinema is very essential and necessary. Film division has done a commendable job,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and Chancellor University of Media and Arts on his visit to the National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai.
The National Museum of Indian Cinema was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 19th January, 2019 at the Films Division Complex, Pedder Road, Mumbai. The Museum is open to the public round the week.
Film properties and costumes, vintage equipment, posters, copies of important films, promotional leaflets, sound tracks, trailers, transparencies, old cinema magazines, statistics covering film making & distribution etc. are displayed in a systematic manner depicting the history of Indian cinema in a chronological manner. NMIC not only provides a store house of information to the laymen, but also help film makers, students, enthusiasts and critics to know and evaluate the development of cinema as a medium of artistic expression.
