How to Fix an Epson Printer Error Code 0x97?
Error code 0x97 on your Epson printer forces the product to be discontinued immediately. Without fixing this problem, it may not be possible to use your printer for a long time. Here are some ways to address this issue.
How to Fix an Epson Printer Error Code 0x97?
Remove all connected devices
First, disconnect all devices that are currently paired with the printer. This also means that you will have to cancel any printing jobs, and remove any jammed paper. Disconnect all USB cables, cords, and wires from your printer.
reconnect devices
Once you have removed the connected wires and plug, turn off the power button on your printer. Wait a few seconds and turn it back on. Then, reconnect all cables and wires to the printer.
reset printer
If the problem persists, reset your printer. Make sure your printer is turned off and disconnected from all devices. Remove any jammed paper. After that, press and hold the Power button for a couple of minutes and reconnect the device while holding it.
clean the printhead
A clogged printhead can also cause this error. First, carefully remove the ink cartridges and place them on a clean paper towel. Next, remove the printhead from the product and gently wipe its bottom with a warm, wet lint-free cloth. Let it dry completely before putting it back in.
reinstall drivers
Faulty drivers can also cause errors. If the printer drivers contain malware, the error may not be resolved without reinstalling the drivers. Uninstall the drivers and reinstall them to make the problems go away.
