1. Understand the Syllabus & Exam Pattern

4. Identify Important Topics to Score Better

In bank exams, certain topics would help you fetch more marks in the examination. Giving importance to such topics can help you score well. Try to identify those topics from every section and practice more and more questions.

 

5. Attempt mock test

Yes. you heard right. Never get upset if you get low marks on the mock test. Mock tests are only meant to analyze the extent of your preparation. So, poor performance in mock doesn’t mean you won’t be able to crack the exam but you have to push yourself a little harder to clear the exam. Thoroughly analyze every question in the mock test and try to understand the solution. Try to apply shortcuts and formulas in the possible questions.

14. Memorise Formulas and Use Shortcut Methods

You can memorize the important formulas and shortcuts, especially in quantitative aptitude from different topics for faster calculation.   Memorizing the multiplication table up to a minimum of 20, Squares of numbers up to 40, and cubes till 20 You can also try Vedic calculation tricks since it helps to save a lot of time, especially in the prelims exam where every second counts. Using short tricks helps to save time in Data Interpretation and Miscellaneous questions.

15. Increase Speed and Accuracy

Attempting questions from different topics is the key to increasing your speed and accuracy in the examination. You have to practice a minimum of 5 questions from every topic in each section.

16. Prelims and Mains should go Hand in Hand

This is one of the mistakes aspirants commit while preparing for the examination. Most of them have the mindset of preparing only for the prelims and not the mains. Usually, after the release of the prelims result hardly 20 days would be left for the main examination, and preparing those high-level DI and Puzzles is unthinkable. So, it is very important to prepare for mains along with preliminary. Try to solve 1-2 high-level puzzles and Data interpretation right after clearing your basics.

17. Adapt Own Strategy

This is another mistake done by most of the aspirants. They tend to blatantly follow another person’s strategy for exam preparation and end up procrastinating. We suggest you not follow another person fully. Rather than following one dumbfoundedly, try to listen to their strategy and preparation tips and prepare a new one that would be beneficial to you. This is very important if you aim to crack the exam in the very first attempt itself.

18. Take Enough Breaks

It is impossible to study continuously for several hours. Attempting to study without breaks would end up damaging your health in the long run. Always remember that no exams can compensate for your health and wellbeing. Give yourself breaks during study hours by taking a brief walk or listening to music or reading a good book. These will rejuvenate you and helps in better understanding.

19. Keep Patience

Attempting exams sometimes feel like literally sitting on a hot bowl. 20. Stay Motivated

Remember that lakhs of people are preparing for a lesser number of vacancies. This, in turn, increases the competition in the exam. So always keep your preparation in full swing if you have to taste a few failures. Hard work with a positive attitude and self-motivation will help you crack the exam with flying colors.
