Make Your WEDDING PIE STRAINA Reality
We also grew magic mushrooms. In doing so, we came across some remarkable things that we would like to share with you in this article. Rather than repeating the guide WEDDING PIE STRAINA again, here we offer some background information and of course practical tips to ensure you get the most out of your magic mushroom grow kit.
Grow magic mushrooms
The instructions and tips we provide here are not a guide to growing magic mushrooms. You can find these instructions for use here.
magic mushrooms
We’re going to use a few terms below that you need to know what we mean by them:
Cake – A name we gave to the contents of the grow kit. By this we mean the substrate (see below) and the fungal mycelium growing within it.
Mycelium – The filaments from which the mushrooms grow – white fluff in the grow kit.
Fungus – The reproductive organ of many mold species.
Mold – A collective term for organisms such as magic mushrooms, other fungi, truffles, and powdery mildew.
Spores – The “seeds” of magic mushrooms and mushrooms. Fine enough to swirl around anywhere.
Substrate – The “soil” in which the fungal filaments (mycelia) grow. Consists of a combination of airy vermiculite (a kind of puff stone) and a proportion of rye and / or rice flour.
And finally the grow kit. This is the plastic tray including the cake. With all magic mushroom grow kits you will also receive a suitable plastic ventilation bag and paper clips. Sometimes you have to look for the paper clips in the box. They can sometimes be hidden behind a piece of cardboard.
magic mushrooms white fluff
white fluff? No problem! This is the part of the magic mushroom that we call the mycelium. The fungi are only the reproductive organ.
Contamination of the Magic Mushroom Grow Kit
Sneezing or coughing into your elbows is not only good for those around you. Your little friends will also be very grateful if you at least take your face off the magic mushroom grow kit. Do the same on the exhale.
It might be an unsavory story, but when we exhale, tiny particles are released that swirl in the air and briefly enter our nostrils. Some of these fine particles are spores, the “seeds” of other fungi. Mushrooms are extremely sensitive to competition from other mushrooms in the grow kit. If spores land in the set and feel comfortable on that warm and moist cake, there’s a risk that these mushrooms will grow faster than the magic mushroom.
Green, black, gray and white
In the photo below you can see the colors of the magic mushroom grow kit. Green, gray and black on the background? This is not good. So this kit didn’t evolve properly. White fluff and blue-green bruises on the mushrooms? That’s great! You can tell that psilocybin has evolved. That’s blue.
Magic mushroom grow kits
What do you do with this kit now? Reap what you can, but don’t keep growing. That makes little or no sense.
Green, black or gray spots on the magic mushroom cake indicate that a strange mushroom is more comfortable in the grow kit than the magic mushrooms themselves. Imagine a children’s playground with a jungle gym and a group of baboons in it.
The chance that children still want to play there is quite small! So we’re going to make sure these baboons of the gray world don’t manage to hang on this monkey bars. What’s the best way to do that? Continue reading!
Growing Magic Mushrooms Lesson 1: Work Clean!
Working with a magic mushroom grow kit is like open-heart surgery. Work with surgical precision and a healthy dose of fear of error. This prevents green, gray, and black fungi from getting a chance to consume the growing medium.
