Rather, Bite Me works better when it’s about two people trying to fall in love, even though they actually have to go their separate ways. Their relationship is complicated, but together they act as a magnet. The rest of the cast does a good job but doesn’t follow the chemistry between the two main characters and the inevitable ending that is the film’s main element.

Less energetic and decidedly less fun

But when “Bite Me” expands its premise to offer a movie comedy based on a long-forgotten inside job, it becomes less energetic and decidedly less fun. It’s full of pop culture footnotes that will make you laugh. However, the quick scenes are just a clever execution of the script’s ideas. Footnotes that seem like a clever trick to show the audience that the film is self-aware.

Film down-to-earth perspective

However, Bite Me is still a romantic comedy because the structure is grounded and Naomi McDougal Jones, the screenwriter who plays Sarah, puts safety before danger in such a risky premise. Initially, I wasn’t thrilled with the film’s down-to-earth perspective. I really thought this was going to be a full-blown vampire movie with horror and comedy elements. But this film from downloadhub surprised me: ‘Bite Me’ pretends to be serious when it doesn’t have to, but it’s pretty rare for a genre film not to.
