Mr. Espen Lim has been teaching A-level JC Maths to A-Level students in Singapore for over 20 years. Tuition Approach
Espen thinks that every student has various learning capacities and is open to varied teaching techniques based on their preferences. Instead of “forcing” students to adhere to his teaching style, he tailors his approach to each student. With over 20 years of experience instructing JC Maths, he has honed his ability to identify the optimum learning technique for each student and apply that strategy to tutor his pupils.
During the school year, each arithmetic topic will be taught in-depth throughout two classes. There will be review classes on the topics that will be assessed about 2 to 3 weeks before the assessment. Each student will be given time for a consultation at the end of each tuition class. Students are also encouraged to influence their learning by presenting their tough questions.
Given how Espen simplifies and simplifies complicated topics for his pupils, his students learn more in the two hours of weekly maths tuition than they did in the whole week at school. In just 2 to 3 months of group tuition with him, his pupils experience tremendous gains. Individual tutoring classes can produce benefits in as little as one month. Espen’s group classes have a maximum of ten people each lesson. Summary notes are also supplied to assist students in reinforcing their knowledge.
