5. Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
Effluent is the wastewater coming out of industries and factories. It contains harsh chemicals and is very toxic if exposed to public usage. According to the guidelines published by the Sewage and Effluent Discharge Manual of the Indian Government, every industry has to treat the effluent before it is discharged in the water bodies that are accessible to the public.
