Here Is The List Of Best Bikes In Under 1 Lakh In India
Bajaj has been and will always be one of the top motorcycle brands in India, and for good reason.
In this context, it is best to keep in mind that the OEM, similar to its rivals, has recently refreshed the prices for two of its best bikes under 1 lakh, which means that it is now within the budget for many Indian motorcycle enthusiasts!
What are those bikes?
Well, they are the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 and the Bajaj Avenger 160 Street.
For more details about these macho two-wheeled beasts, take a look at the sections below –
Bajaj Avenger Street 160
Bajaj introduced Avenger Street 160 ABS – version in India way back on May 10, 2019. It is an entry-level cruiser bike that replaced the 180 CC version of the same.
The bike is known for its street-style handlebar, low ride height, unique foot position for both the pillion and front rider, impressive alloy wheels, style and mileage.
Although the 180 CC engine that was discontinued for this bike offered more torque, the new BS 6 compliant 160 CC engine is not too far behind. Furthermore, the new Avenger 160 comes with a single-channel Anti-Locking Braking System as a standard feature.
Bajaj also refreshed the overall aesthetics of the bike by giving it –
-
A roadster-stylized headlight that comes with LED DRLs
-
A completely blacked out engine
-
Comfortable seats for both the front and the pillion rider
-
Impressive body graphics as well as
-
A rubber-coated rear grab rail that also doubles up as a backrest for the pillion rider.
In terms of performance, the 160 (160.4 to be precise) CC single-cylinder, BS – 6 compliant engine now offers an impressive 14.7 bhp of power and a whopping 13.5 Nm of torque that is offered at the peak RPM range.
The bike also received mechanical changes to its chassis that allowed the same to improve on its power to weight ratio factor by many folds that ultimately allow it to handle like a dream in city streets and the highway.
The bike comes with a 5-speed, smooth-shifting gearbox. Although it is a low-slung bike, the ride height is adequate for normal riding conditions, but it is best to refrain from taking the bike off the traditional roads.
It has telescopic forks for the front wheel and dual gas-charged shock absorbers for the rear wheel. It comes with a single 220 mm disc at the front that is mated to a single-channel ABS, and as for the rear wheels, well, it gets a drum brake setup.
All of this is made available to a prospective buyer at a reasonable price of ₹ 1, 01,094.
Bajaj Pulsar 200NS
Bajaj introduced the Pulsar 200NS way back in 2012 as the first indigenously made naked sports bike for Indian riders and roads.
Since its debut, the bike has won many hearts all over the nation and abroad due to its performance, looks and, of course, price. The present generation of the NS 200 comes with a BS 6 compliant 200 CC (199.5 CC to be precise), liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers a respectable 23.17 bhp of peak power and 18.3 Nm of peak torque. Both of these figures can be achieved at the top rev-range, but the low-rev range of the bike is also quite exciting.
It comes with a completely new 6-speed smooth-shifting gearbox that allows the rider to wring every ounce of performance from the engine. On top of this, a 6th gear also allows the rider to save fuel when they are cruising on a highway.
It comes with a 12-litre fuel tank that can hold up to 1.8 litres of fuel on reserve. The bike can return a best-in-segment mileage of 30 KMPL. It rides and handles seamlessly, especially in corners. It comes with an underbelly exhaust that adds to its sporty looks.
All of this is made available by Bajaj to prospective buyers at a reasonable price of ₹ 1.31 Lakh.
