Kim Ha-yoon also won bronze medal in women’s 78kg class judo
Kim Ha-yoon (24, Ansan City Hall), the star of the Korean women’s judo heavyweight division, has won a bronze medal.
World No. 4 Kim Ha-yoon won a bronze medal match against Turkey’s Kaira Oezdemir in the women’s over-78kg class at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at the Champ de Mars Arena in Paris, France on the 3rd (Korean time).
Kim Ha-yoon won half of the match with a leg-hold at 3 minutes and 16 seconds into the match. She then secured the victory by winning half of the match with a press.
Kim Ha-yoon previously won the repechage match against Larisa Ceric of Bosnia and Herzegovina and advanced to the bronze medal match. Kim Ha-yoon also won the repechage match with a half-way throw 55 seconds into the match.
This is the first medal in the women’s judo heavyweight division in 24 years since Kim Sun-young won the bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. 안전놀이터
