International Women’s Film Forum Meet Held in Baku
Baku, Azerbaijan – The International Women’s Film Forum convened a significant meeting at the Baku, Azerbaijan chapter, bringing together notable figures such as Shirinova Ilhama and Sevinj Jalilova. This prestigious event focused on discussing and advancing women’s empowerment across various creative fields.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and a prominent advocate for women’s empowerment, played a pivotal role in the forum. His dedication to promoting women in the creative arts has been evident through his numerous initiatives and programs designed to provide women with opportunities to excel in their respective fields.
In his address at the forum, Dr. Marwah emphasized the vital role women play in shaping the world. “Women, whether subtly or vociferously, have always been a tremendous power in the destiny of the world,” he remarked. One of the key outcomes of the forum was the announcement of a delegation of thirty women from Azerbaijan who have been invited to India. These women will participate in the upcoming Women Empowerment Summit, a comprehensive event designed to foster creative collaboration and skill development. The summit will feature a variety of activities, including radio and TV programs, teaching sessions, and workshops, providing a platform for these women to share their talents and gain new insights.
The event was organized with the support of the Indo Azerbaijan Film and Cultural Forum, a division of ICMEI dedicated to strengthening cultural ties and promoting creative exchange between India and Azerbaijan. The forum’s efforts are in line with its mission to empower women and enhance their representation in the media and entertainment industries.
