Typhoid fever – Caused due to ingestion of water contaminated with faeces of an infected person and the bacteria responsible for the disease is Salmonella Typhi. The fever remains up to 104 °F with sweating, diarrhea, fatigue, constipation (may occur), and muscles aches. If not treated it spreads further to the delirium, spleen, and affects the liver. In some cases, a person can survive up to four weeks.
Hepatitis A – The HAV manifests itself in water and results in acute symptoms. These include fatigue, discomfort, fever, abdominal pain, nausea, weight loss, diarrhea, itching, jaundice, and depression.
Acute gastrointestinal disorder- Caused by Norovirus that enters into the water through the faeces of infected individuals resulting in diarrhea, vomiting, stomach ache, and nausea.
