Xpel Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film Review
There are a lot of reasons to use Xpel Ultimate Plus paint protection film. And when you’re looking for an easy way to protect your investment or to protect your car in general, you have to make the right choice. Don’t just assume that because it’s blue, it must be good, especially if you live in the Pacific Northwest. I recently spent a day on my bike, in both snow and hot weather, trying to get the battery out of a late model mountain bike. When I got home and tried to remove the paint protection film with the steel wool pad, I was surprised to find that it was so difficult.
I know that films are supposed to be easy to remove, but it seems that some of them are too sticky. It took me forever to get it off. When I finally got it off, I was very frustrated with myself. The bike was ruined. I could have just gone ahead and purchased another one.
But I didn’t. Instead, I went and got some xpel ultimate plus automotive paint protection film, and I put it on top of the previous one. It was even easier than I thought it would be. All I had to do was peel it off and snap it back on.
Of course, I was a bit nervous about putting this on my car, mainly because I was going to be so busy with it. The other day, as I was sitting in my car waiting for a friend, I noticed all the people around me rushing to get their cars painted. My stomach growled. They were painting their cars. It made me a little nervous, but I couldn’t help myself, so I went ahead and popped on my xpel protection film.
As soon as I put it on, it turned my car into a paint jober’s dream. The previous automotive paint protection film was chipping and peeling, and it was a bit of a mess. Plus, the film was coming off every so often, leaving streaks on my paint. But with xpel, all that is changed.
When I first laid it on, the film looked like a big picture of a computer render of a car. Then, gradually it started to look like the real thing, all smooth and shiny and reflective. It really amazed me how much difference it made.
I’ve been using my xpel protection film as directed and have found that it’s been great for keeping my car clean. There have been some minor scratches, but nothing that I can’t live with. There’s no pitting and no cracking. Best of all, I can see out my back window and the neighbors can’t see in.
The other benefit I’ve found is that it saves me time. Instead of running to the auto repair shop, which I dread, I can simply wash my car. And since I don’t need to wipe off any of the paint protection films, there’s nothing to clean. All that’s left is to wash the interior, and wax the door and side mirror. Now, if only I could get one of these products for my motorcycle… I think I’d trade in my clunky grill for a slickie.
The only downside to Xpel Ultimate Plus paint protection film is that it does wear down after a few washes. It did so to my best friend’s Honda Civic, and she ended up going to a mechanic to get it fixed. I was so glad she didn’t have to go through that because her car was still looking good. After she got her bike fixed, she put the film back on, and the next day she was ready to hit the road again.
I’ve been using this product on and off for the past year, and there hasn’t been a single scratch, mark, or scrape. I do have a bit of a habit of washing the car with a rag, but that’s it. I also take a bit of time to let the paint dry before I put anything on my vehicle. And I always apply a coat of paint protection film before I go to bed.
Overall I love this paint protection film. I would recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a good all-around protectant for their vehicle. If you’re looking for something easy to use, this could be a great option.
