ICCA’s History and Mission
ICCA was established at the height of the Cold War with the vision of fostering cooperation between countries and encouraging the use of arbitration to resolve disputes across borders. Over the years, ICCA’s mission has evolved to encompass the promotion of arbitration as a tool for achieving efficiency, fairness, and cost-effectiveness in dispute resolution.

Key Initiatives and Activities
ICCA Congress:
The ICCA Global Congress is one of the organization’s flagship events, held every two years. This prestigious gathering brings together the world’s leading arbitration professionals, legal scholars, and policymakers to discuss and debate the latest developments in international arbitration. The ICCA Congress is renowned for its thought-provoking sessions and serves as a catalyst for shaping the future of international arbitration.
ICCA Reports and Publications:
ICCA has produced a vast library of reports, publications, and guidelines that serve as valuable resources for arbitration practitioners. These materials cover a wide range of topics, including arbitration rules, case law, and procedural best practices. Many of these resources are available to the public, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and the standardization of arbitration practices.
Young ICCA:
Recognizing the importance of nurturing the next generation of arbitration professionals, integrative cancer therapy launched Young ICCA, a global network for young practitioners. This initiative provides opportunities for young professionals to gain knowledge and experience in international arbitration and connect with established experts in the field.
ICCA Governing Board:
The Governing Board of ICCA comprises eminent figures in international arbitration. This board is responsible for steering the organization’s strategic direction and ensuring that it continues to fulfill its mission effectively.
