Ruqyah is a very powerful weapon that can be used to help protect people from jinns and evil eye. It is best performed by someone else who can perform it properly and in accordance with the sunnah. A person who wants to recite ruqyah should first of all be a believer and have strong tawhid. He/she should also have a good understanding of the Quran and sunnah.

There are many different types of ruqyah and it is best to get advice from a specialist in the field. Some types of ruqyah are more effective than others and they can be used to treat various problems such as sihr, magic and evil eye.

A ruqyah bath is where one bathes in water that has been recited upon. This is best done after every salah – particularly the night prayer. The recitation should be done while keeping the mouth close to the water and blowing over it repeatedly – without spittle. A ruqyah oil can be made by rubbing the skin with olive oil – particularly on the head and the roots of the hair – and reciting ayat from the Quran over it. This is especially good for those who are afflicted by the evil eye or magic. One should do this on a daily basis if they are able to and it is important that the recitation of the ayat is repeated – it may take several days before any effects are seen.
