The Egyptian Handball Federation (EHF) has announced that Spanish coach Juan Carlos Pastor has signed a one-year deal to become the Pharaohs’ manager. The EHF decided to part ways with Roberto Garcia Parrondo after the 2023 World Cup because he was not fully committed to the Egyptian team due to his work in German Melsungen.

Parrondo will be succeeded by his compatriot Pastor, who will be tasked with winning a medal for Egypt at the Olympic Paris. The pastor has signed a one-year contract with the Federation until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Egyptian Handball Federation board member Amr Salah said in an official statement.
