Required documents:
Identity:
Passport; provide your details page only, a full passport is not necessary. Make sure that the name you used in your application is the same one on your passport.
2 extra government-issued identity documents from the country of birth or country of current residence. Provide at least one bearing your photograph.
Provide your most updated resume by uploading it to your personal document section.
Proof of name change (if applicable)
Education:

- Title of degree or award
- Name of university or awarding institution
- Degree or award completion date. The qualification will be evaluated as not suitable if no documented proof that the degree has been awarded or completed.
- Degree or Award transcript:
- Unit or subject names and grades or marks you earned (they must be in chronological order)
- In the case of having a postgraduate degree, provide ACS with the undergraduate qualification.
- For research degrees, provide the abstract of the thesis or research project.
- The abstract must be endorsed by the primary supervisor where it is possible.
Employment:
Employment reference
Proof of paid employment (tax returns, payslips, bank statements on company letterhead
Other:
Migration agent authorization form (if applicable)
ACS Professional Year Certification (if applicable)
For a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) application, complete and submit the current ACS Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Form.
Document translation:
If any of your original documents are not in English, have them translated. Submit both the original document and the translation for the ACS Australia assessment.
Document translation within Australia:
Find acceptable translations from accredited translators with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters NAATI.
Document translation outside Australia:
You can receive acceptable translations from the awarding institution or your nearest Australian Diplomatic or Consular Mission.
Overseas translations are required to be completed on the organization’s letterhead. Moreover, it must include an official stamp, the name of the translator, signature and contact telephone number. ACS may need to contact the translator to verify the translated documents from the details you provided.
Application status:
All applicants will get a confirmation email to their nominated mail address when they successfully complete the online application. The confirmation mail will contain your ACS reference number and password instructions. By means of them, you can access your online portal. After that, you will be able to check the progress of your application.
Latest ACS Australia skill assessment fees:
- If having chosen the Temporary Graduate pathway (485 Skills Assessment), pay $500.
- In the case of the Post-Australian Study skills assessment, pay $530.
- If having chosen the Skills (general application) pathway, pay $530.
- In the case of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathway, pay $575.
- For the review application, pay $395.
- Pay $395 for the appeal application.
Remember: per application, 8 skill assessment episodes are made of a candidate’s employment or qualification documentation.
For each additional qualification or employment episode exceeding the maximum of 8 per application, an extra $50 fee is applicable.
Priority request:
There is a priority request option only for Australian visa holders. It is with a deadline of fewer than 12 weeks from the application date. For priority requests, upload proof (PDF) of the visa deadline and permit a minimum of 2-week notice from the deadline.

Assessment outcome:
The assessment authority will issue your assessment outcome in a formal letter via mail in PDF format. All successful assessment letters have validity for 24 months from the issuance date. You can submit your assessment outcome as proof of your skills assessment. Any unsuccessful assessments will note the reasons for the outcome and information concerning the review/appeal process.
Renewals and re-application:
If your initial assessment expires, reapply by means of a new application. You can submit a new application through the Online Application Portal just by logging into the dashboard. When lodging a new application, you must rename any new documents to differentiate them from previously submitted documents.
Review application:
A review application is for those who want to change their nominated occupation. Besides that, those who want to include additional work experience or qualifications or update their results can also use it.
This review process includes a review of the original skills assessment decision to make sure that no errors are made. In other words, it ensures that no errors have been committed in the skills assessment or administration of the application.
You can only submit a review application within 60 days from the date you got your skills assessment result. Any documents you submitted as a part of the review application will be assessed together with previously submitted documentation.
