As the internet becomes an essential part of our lives, it has brought about a revolutionary change in the entertainment industry. Streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+Hotstar have made it possible for viewers to watch their favorite movies and TV shows at their convenience. However, as technology advances, so do the methods of piracy. One such notorious piracy website that has been causing trouble for the Indian film industry is Madras Rockers.
Tamilrockers, the piracy website, is continuing to be a menace for not only Tamil cinema but for almost all the leading film industries across the world. They recently released Avengers: Endgame film ahead of its release in India, shocking the entire world.
Jiiva’s latest film Kee is the new victim of Tamilrockers. The film was illegally released on the website within a day from its theatrical release. Directed by Kalees, Kee is a cyber sci-fi movie, which is about a gifted hacker and his quest to stop an evil hacker group.
Other than Jiiva, the film has Nikki Galrani, RJ Balaji, Rajendra Prasad and Swathishta Krishnan in lead roles. The film has mostly received underwhelming reviews.
India Today film reviewer Kirubhakar Purushothaman wrote, “Like most Tamil sci-fi films, Jiiva’s Kee is unconvincing and far from entertaining. Director Kalees, in an attempt to incorporate all the elements of a commercial Tamil flick, ends up with a silly and illogical film.”
