1. Prabhas in ‘Radhe Shyam’
Hyderabad International Airport experienced a starry presence when actor Prabhas walked in to fly out. He was apparently on the way to shoot ‘Radhe Shyam.’ Guess where he was headed? To sunny Italy, to star alongside Pooja Hedge in the upcoming film by director Radha Krishna Kumar.
The covid-19 pandemic saw to the shutting down of several productions, including this one. With the situation lifting ever so slightly, it looks like Telugu superstar Prabhas is off to give us another celebrity news hit. His previous work on action-thriller ‘Saaho’ was quite fun. This film was directed by Sujeeth and co-starred Shraddha Kapoor.
2. Malaika Arora & Fabulous Style Statements
Her bravery and strength have inspired fans and sundry alike. Having been diagnosed with coronavirus and having recently recovered from it, Malaika Arora was seen out and about in a chic lime-green outfit that is yet another testament to her sense of sartorial perfection.
The actress has a cool celebrity news worthy event to look forward to, namely her role as judge on ‘India’s Best Dancer’. The reality show is super-popular in its own right, which makes for a perfect fit (fashion pun intended) for the inimitable Malaika Arora.
3. Anurag Kashyap & Assault
The renowned director seems to have landed himself in hot water, or rather pushed into a tub of it by Payal Ghosh. The alleged #MeToo declaration form Payal has sent more shockwaves through an already disturbed industry riddled with scandalous celebrity news. Assaults on women are in desperate need of being addressed and, with luck, resolved. #HathrasJustice
Not only has Payal been trolled for her tweet on the matter, but Anurag Kashyap’s lawyer Priyanka Khimani seems to be calling her bluff. Words like “outright lie” are raising all sorts of eyebrows. Priyanka has issued a statement to the effect, “Mr. Kashyap is distressed…false and reckless allegations…caused pain to him, his family and his fans…”
4. Arjun & Allu
The two might as well be one entity because the famous Allu Arjun has announced the birth of Allu Studios. It comes at the perfect time, namely on the 99th birth anniversary of his grandfather Allu Ramalingaiah.
The Telugu film industry is that much richer following this celebrity news. A memorable and honor-worthy event, the inauguration of Allu Studios has been welcomed with open arms. The family went on record to share “…[I]naugurated the construction work of Allu Studios. Our entire family has loved cinema… happy to celebrate the legacy of our grandfather. We proudly dedicate Allu Studios to his loving memory.”
5. ‘Sooryavanshi’ & Diwali
The movie that was about to regale Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif fans in March 2020 has been moved around a bit, and now it seems like the film will not be coming out even in Diwali. Rohit Shetty might not have shared anything revealing on the matter, but Reliance Entertainment Group CEO Sibashish Sarkar had something to tell.
“[N]ot releasing any film on Diwali. [A]ll cinema houses are not opening from October 15. Even if it opens on November 1, how can you release a film in 10 or 15 days notice period.”
