8 Days Ziwa Sanctuary Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari
Day 1:
On the first day of the 8-day Ziwa Sanctuary Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari with Frena Adventure, guests will be picked up from the Entebbe International Airport and transferred to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The sanctuary is a non-profit organization that aims to reintroduce rhinos back into Uganda, and it is currently the only place in the country where rhinos can be tracked. After checking in at the sanctuary, guests will embark on a rhino-tracking adventure, where they can observe these majestic animals in their natural habitat. After an exciting day, guests will retire to their accommodations at the sanctuary for a peaceful overnight stay, preparing for the next day’s adventures.
Day 2:
On the second day of the 8-day Ziwa Sanctuary Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari with Frena Adventure, guests will depart early in the morning to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, they will embark on a game drive in the park’s northern sector, where they can spot various wildlife, including elephants, buffalos, antelopes, lions, and leopards.
After the game drive, guests will enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga channel in the afternoon, known for its high concentration of hippos and birdlife. After a full day of adventure, guests will retire to their Queen Elizabeth National Park accommodations for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3:
On the third day of the 8-day Ziwa Sanctuary Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari with Frena Adventure, guests will embark on a chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kyambura Gorge. This scenic gorge is home to a population of chimpanzees, and guests will have the opportunity to observe them up close in their natural habitat.
After the trek, guests will embark on a game drive in the park’s southern sector, where they can spot various wildlife, including lions, elephants, and hyenas. After a full day of adventure, guests will return to their Queen Elizabeth National Park accommodations for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 4:
On the fourth day of the 8-day Ziwa Sanctuary Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari with Frena Adventure, guests will depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and head towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Along the way, there will be a stopover at the Uganda Equator for a photo shoot and to learn more about the geographical divide between the northern and southern hemispheres.
Upon arrival at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, guests will check into their accommodations and have the rest of the day to explore the surrounding areas or relax. This park is home to critically endangered mountain gorillas, and guests can embark on a gorilla trekking adventure the following day.
Day 5:
On the fifth day of the 8-day Ziwa Sanctuary Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari with Frena Adventure, guests will embark on the highlight of their trip – gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Guests will trek through the dense forest, led by an experienced guide, locate one of the habituated gorilla families.
Once found, guests will be able to observe the gorillas in their natural habitat for up to an hour, a truly unique and unforgettable experience. In the afternoon, guests will go on a community walk to learn about the local culture and way of life. The day will conclude with a comfortable overnight stay in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Day 6:
On the sixth day of the 8-day Ziwa Sanctuary Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari with Frena Adventure, guests will depart Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and return to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, they will stop at the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions.
Guests will embark on a game drive in the sector, and with some luck, they will be able to spot the lions lounging on tree branches. After the game drive, guests will check into their Queen Elizabeth National Park accommodations for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 8:
On the eighth and final day of the 8-day Ziwa Sanctuary Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari with Frena Adventure, guests will depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and return to Entebbe International Airport for their departure flight. Along the way, there will be a stopover at the Uganda Equator for a final photoshoot and lunch.
Guests can take the opportunity to purchase any last-minute souvenirs or gifts for their loved ones. After lunch, guests will continue to the airport, where they will be dropped off by the Frena Adventure team, marking the end of their exciting and memorable safari adventure in Uganda.
