4 Simple Brand Strategies for Timeless Growth

You have got an idea, now what?

If you like most entrepreneurs, the first thing you will do is hit your head against the wall. It\'s true! You might have the best idea in the world ––if no one knows about it you cannot expect it to grow overnight.  Plus, if you solidify the idea, you can’t be the same as everyone else. You need to be a unique and practical brand strategy but how to actually do it? we’ve some insights to share.

PLENTY OF RESEARCH

In the world of marketing and branding, it is easy to get stuck in a rut. According to experts, research is the best way to learn about who your customers are and what they want from you. What are the pain points you can remedy? To encapsulate it, it is a way to harness customer insights to develop products, services, and strategies.

You have a good product and you know it’s a good fit for your target audience. The only question is: how to make sure it is right for them. You can do this by asking questions like what are their needs? What do they want? How does your product or service bring a solution to them? What interests them and so on.

Once you are done researching your target audience.  Start collecting data on your competitors. What kinds of competitors are already in the market for your products and services? How do they target their audience? What mediums do they employ to communicate with their audience? What makes them so different in their approaches? You would not want to launch a new product into an already crowded market. Or if it is a crowded market what can you do differently? How could you use the same channels and use them in a completely different way?

CRAFT A PERSONALITY

The first thing you need to do when building a personality for your brand is to think about the kind of people who are going to use it. Who is your brand? What do you want your brand to mirror? What do people say about your brand when they see it? What would they think if they saw your product or what makes them engage with it?

Think about all the things that make up its personality and then reason how those things translate into your product or service. You don’t have to ace every aspect.  As long as you know what problem it solves, and how to make it different from others in the market. You are halfway in.

Consequently, build a unique personality and make it visible to your audience. Then make sure everything else in your brand identity reflects those same values and principles. The best brands are honest and authentic––they could be fun and glamorous but still grounded in the values that make them who they are.

SHOW CARE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS

When it comes to building a successful brand identity, you want your customers to be loyal to your brand. But what does that mean? You need to make sure that they feel like they are being taken care of by you. However, it doesn’t mean every customer gets the same level of attention–– and you can’t slap together a generic line about caring taglines here and there and expect people to fall over themselves for it.

Instead, think about how you build an identity and translate that into a strategy showing them when they walk into the store, they feel that they matter. Is there anything you can think of that can make them feel valued?

Because of the experience your customers would have with your space let’s say, for a retail store, they would mirror their loyalty towards you as well. Hence, think of ways that can solidify the image of your brand and mirror that into your retail design strategy.

Something like giving them an opportunity to share their experience with their friends or asking them about their stories could be one way of building a better relationship with your audience. These little things go a long way towards building brand trust in the minds of potential customers.

Your brand messaging reflects what your brand values because it would translate into your brand. Having a brand that is dependable, delivers what promises, and showing care for customers would build a trustworthy brand which further strengthens brand loyalty in the long run.

BE CONSISTENT

The more consistently you use branding and mirror your values through your brand the more likely your brand will be recognized across mediums. Think of brands you use every day. Consider a well-known brand and think about how its recognisability is so great that its logo or its messaging is enough to remember the brand. These brands are all over the world in one way or the other. They have a distinct brand and how they communicate with their audience reflects the brand itself.

Similarly, by developing a distinctive brand and being consistent about what your brand symbolizes, and what values it holds, you will increase revenue and brand recognition for your brand.

Furthermore, there should be a recognizable logo and a style guide that outlines how your brand should be presented. Every piece of content that you would create should have the same tone and style.

This will ensure that everything looks consistent, which is the key.  If you want people to think of your brand as something that looks like it belongs together –– like a cohesive whole rather than separate pieces–– your answer is a brand identity that is consistent, regardless of the medium.

For a business to succeed, it must have a strong brand. While every firm approaches branding differently, establishing a strong brand will make a tremendous difference for your company. Building a timeless brand is all about the right balance between creativity and practicality. For it to become timeless, it needs to be adaptable –– something that can grow and expands over time.
